I'm not surprised. You defund the cops and you defund their services. People want to have their cake and eat it too. It just doesn't work like that. Seems to me that people screaming to defund the police just need to sit down, take a deep breath and think about what they are demanding. They say, "careful what you wish for; you just might get it." You can't have a country without some sort of police. What are people thinking of these days?

From what I've read, Seattle has severely demoralized their police. I believe some have left, and a few took jobs in our area (Spokane, which is in eastern Washington state).
