Can we afford to stay in our homes?
Would you seek out senior citizen to become a roommate?

Why would a younger person living with a senior person? If you are talking about college kids or some young person who just want to live as a housemate wherever is cheap because he/she can not afford his/her own apartment, ask yourself if you want to live with these people.I might but it wouldn't be an older person...
not talking about college kids.. but you know middle aged people are younger than me..someone in their 40's or even 50's is neither a kid nor a senior person....Why would a younger person living with a senior person? I wouldn't for the same reasons... I'm a night bird... but if I needed the extra money, I would change my routine...to suit..., fortunately currently I don't need the moneyYes.
No. I'm set in my ways. Don't want to change the way I live to appease a roommate.
Had a 57 year old female acquaintance at work, asking if I would have room for her to move in with me. This ask was done only a few months after my husband of 55 years passed away. I gave it a few days thought, then gave her my response. No, I didn't see how that arrangement would work, I told her. She works 1st shift, I, second shift. She goes to bed by 8PM and needs total quiet and darkness. I stay up between 3-4AM doing chores, playing with my cats, watching some TV while playing on my PC with lights on, etc. She leaves for work at 6:30AM, I, at noon.
I would have to change my lifestyle to appease her, which is a no go for me. It was the best decision I made, after working with her for the past 10 months and seeing her disposition on some days. She doesn't go outside at all. She goes to work and back in her apartment right afterwards.
Same theory here. Most capable middle age people would much rather have their own apartment than living with grumpy senior people, UNLESS they are in a financial situation where they can not afford to live on their own.(and do you want to live with this type of middle age people?).not talking about college kids.. but you know middle aged people are younger than me..someone in their 40's or even 50's is neither a kid nor a senior person....
I don't know why you seem to be getting upset about MY choices....Same theory here. Ask yourself, did you ever thought about living with a senior person when you were younger?
I could rent a room from an uptight middle aged woman as a 19 y o student. Does she clean the bath well enough? Bye bye. No way. Instead I lived with other students in a lovely mess. But nowadays in my country young people do that. Students. Houses are so scarse that they live in retirement homes or in a house with an elderly man, a young girl and she helps him with stuff he can't do and she really likes it.Ask yourself, did you ever thought about living with a senior person when you were younger?
