Senior Citizen Required - Poor but Capable

I just discovered I am old, broke, alone, and taking good care of myself. I did inherit a house. I am in Northern Virginia.

I am looking for another senior citizen (68 and up) who needs a place to live - room with private bath - and willing to do light housework daily instead of paying rent. Its not hard work. But, I do have 5 small old dogs and 1 old cat. This makes a big difference in your decision. You can have and bring pets too. I cannot let people into the house that dont live here do to insurance/legal reasons. You must have a certain temperment for this situation. Anyway, I want you to be happy here, not just exist because its cheap. We are old but not incapable. Background check required.

It is what it is. I would rather have self-limiting than insurance bill/health costs/lawyer costs that I cannot afford to pay. I recall stating that I was poor. But, I am susciptable to hunger.

You'd be much better off posting this in Next Door or similar local outlets. This forum is comprised of seniors throughout the US, Canada, UK, Australia and elsewhere on the planet. Few, if any, would be your target audience.

I have posted to next door and they forwarded me to you. It is okay if no one reacts to my post. I know somewhere there is someone with a pet that refuses to give up their pet(s) for a room that denies pets.
 
Welcome to our forum! Well, you never know you just might run across the right person on here. There are many posts on here about people needing a place to move to. Not having to pay rent would be an option that not many have.

Seems like there should be someone looking for a situation like that.
 
Maybe there will be someone interested in living with you on the Senior Forums. You never know. I know that if I didn't have Misa around, she is 65, I am 72, I would interested in helping out there. It sounds great! and friendly. It sounds like you want to take care of business and enjoy life. I hope you find someone soon. :)
