Senior Discounts

How can one know if a price on a product or service that claims to have a "senior discount" is really discounted? What's to say they don't jack up the price so when they apply the discount, it will be just as much as everyone else pays?

That should be easy to figure out. Look at the price in the store, or online...to get the regular price, then factor in the senior discount, and see what they charge. If there isn't a difference, go to another store. Do you have a particular item/store in mind?? Here's a list of Senior Discounts....there are several other such sites

I don't like the practice generally because I have way more wealth than my grandchildren

I always say in this situation, "Just because I have money doesn't mean I want to spend more than I have to."
