Senior Forums Really Slow?

Early in the day, other sites were normal here too. Then mid morning (my time) some sites started changing for the worse, especially the insurance site I use to pay my bill.

The crash impacted sites reliant upon Amazon Web Services (AWS) - the cloud computing service that hosts countless websites around the world.

I still haven't found out if this site is tied to that service or not, and don't know any way I could.

For what it's worth, I asked AI if the outage could effect social sites and got this:

Thank you, Mack Texas.

Yes. My problems ...with SF.....
It's CRAWLING. I tried to apply a reaction to a post and it took 30 seconds to apply. My WIFI is flying on all other sites - just slow on this one.

Edited at 10:40 CST: I'll just sign out and try some other time. This is taking way too long.
Yes, my problems on this site, SF, started before the 3a.m. Amazon outage was reported.
Not sure it's related at all.
Has @Matrix
Weighed in on this thread anyplace?

And sf is still intermittently available, for me , this evening, Monday, Oct 20th. 😔

I think there are 2 threads (last I noticed) and I saw where someone else asked that question with the @ sign like yours, so there will probably be a response.

The odd thing is, sometimes it goes fast, then all of a sudden: BAM, it's a crawl.

The evening news just said Amazon reports all should be fixed by this evening, but we don't know if that has anything to do with this site (yet).

Yes, it's too slow for me to hang around tonight. I hope the techs figure it out.
I'm having no trouble on any other websites, so I'm guessing that the problem is unique to
SF.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but it's not our forum or server's problem, it should resolve itself shortly.

Wait, it's been 3 days for some members? I thought it's a couple of hours. I didn't find it slow though.

I just had a hard time getting in. I tried several times over about a 15 minute period and kept getting the message that it was "taking too long". I didn't have any problems earlier today.
it's been in and out all day here. i was watching paramount plus no problem then all of sudden it quit working.
