Senior gamers, what are you playing?

i am finding there is much to discover on Animal Crossing New Horizons. I have discovered that if left unkept the flowers will mutate and take over in vast amounts. there is a solution for it. i have to design a piece of ground that is transparent and place it around the flowers i want to prohibit more spawning.

last night i designed a waterway/walkway entrance from the airport with the statue of liberty on a piece of ground in the center.

i also made my first waterfall last night & decorated it. i made another one by my villagers house this afternoon.

my next project is going to be a treehouse behind the house. this will take longer because it requires some panels i don't have.

I've gotten hooked recently on playing Skip Bo online. (The only time I get to play it with a real life player is when my BIL and his wife come to visit, so it's been fun to discover I can play it online.)

I prefer live/real games like chess or backgammon (teaching both to different friends...).
A fair chess learning tool/ soft ware is Lucas chess,

However, especially with covid restrictions, people are not always available. On the computer I like the oldies but goodies;
Just beat Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction on the highest level. Its a fantasy hack and slash played mostly by mouse action. (currently taking a victory/vengeance lap destroying all of the hardest bad guy bosses; looking for even better armor& weapons than I currently have).

Note; I haven't tried downloading this game; playing from old DVDs.

Not quite as good but still very entertaining is the Titan Quest series. Currently available from GOG.com (Good Old Games); the download takes an incredibly long time (over night or more depending on your speeds) and it is (~$20) not free If you want it cheaper wait for it to go on sale. The Atlantis and Ragnarok expansions are not worth getting, IMO..

Sacred is step down in a similar game. Sacred gold is available at GOG. com for ~$10 right now;

For some relatively entertaining Run and Gun Serious Sam first and second Encounter are a fair and not serious change of pace.

Currently costing about $6 each

For a relatively early (1990s) gun and go game that still holds its own Quake 2 (Quake II) is my choice as a fall back.
Note; it is available on GOG but is a bit over priced , IMO Note there are many free versions on line but I didn't see any from sources that I would trust.

Tried resurrecting Doom 2 but it was boring, IMO.

Enjoy!

Scrabble with my wife is my number one game (she wins 3 out of 4 games). Chess is number two with a few select friends via Zoom (it works for us). Number three is Contract Bridge - not against people but against computers. I learning the game and hope to join a club when things get back to normal.
