Seniors buy the most Lottery tickets of all the age groups

In the area around the mall ticket kiosk, there’re are always lots of seniors in line and hanging about.

I have a weekly online purchase. If I quit, those numbers will win. I don’t even know what the numbers are. I chose them randomly a long time ago. When I have a winner, I get an email. It’s almost always just a free ticket. It may take me weeks to bother seeing what I won.
 
I admit I do love to gamble, but not on lottery tickets. Years ago I bought one a week and was a sad loser.
Occasionally, like today when the pot has grown, I'll write down my numbers, then compare to the winning ones drawn.
I'm never surprised when I haven't won.
 
As a younger woman I enjoyed purchasing lotto tickets here and there, never a lot.
Since then, I can't remember buying any.

Maybe I will make a point of buying one again soon I think

Once each year, a small group of us ladies, head to the Casinao for lunch and
slot machine gambling, we have loads of fun, and never break the back. lol

Yes, a huge amount of money would be like acquiring a job just to figure out what to do with it. Look at that poor Bill Gates guy having the drag of traveling all over and looking at toilets designs for poor communities. Not my vision of retirement.
 
I'm not much of a gambler so never played it. If I was a gambler I would have no problems going to a casino. At least they are upfront about where my money goes. I am leery that all the proceeds from the lottery in my state actually goes to the programs that are supposed to benefit from it.
 
I don’t buy lottery tickets, but I do buy raffle tickets from sportsman’s groups, kids youth sports groups and the church. I have enough money to finish my life on and besides, who would I leave it to? I only have the one niece that I associate with.
 
I think I will then I always forget. If I won I would not move but remodel the house, get a new car. Get another pup. Most of it would go to son and his family. set things aside for my grandchildren and nephews families. It would be wonderful to help all of them have a great life.

In my early years I got sucked into gambling on horse racing. One painful loss and a "talk" from my Father helped me to walk away from gambling. So glad that I did. Reading fuzzybuddy's post made me wonder, what if. How I remember and appreciate Dad's advice.
