Serious Threats Made Against Dr. Fauci & Family

In comparison to backlash from his involvement with HIV management, Dr. Fauci says:

"As much as people inappropriately, I think, make me somewhat of a hero — and I'm not a hero, I'm just doing my job — there are people who get really angry at thinking I'm interfering with their life because I'm pushing a public-health agenda," he continued. Fauci said the amount of hate mail and serious threats are "not good."

Sad situation. I hope he and his family will remain safe.
 

There are those who will angrily and strenuously flail out against what they perceive as any infringement on their "rights," whereas COVID is a public health issue, and not a rights issue. There is also a sad tendency among some to want to kill the bringer of bad news whereas they are only a messenger. We none like restrictions, and we all would like our old lives back...but denying the threat and the science is not the way to go.

It's been my experience as a State Trooper that when threats are sent through the mail, they are seldomly signed, so the writer may keep his identity, or so they believe they can and that the threats are sedomly carried out. Unfortunately, there are many crackpots out there and it only takes one of them to actually "live out their fantasy," so that they may be immortalized in history.

In order for someone to actually perpetuate this type of crime, they would have to be a psychopath and believe me, there are plenty enough of them out here to go around. So, I would suggest that he keep a low profile and only travel with a companion. BTW, I'm available if he or the government is willing to foot the bill.
 
And some of these psychopaths only need the words of some prominent person to embolden them to act.

Most normal people, especially those in the public eye, try to refrain from triggering these people but in the case of politicians, this is often over-looked and they make inflammatory statements and then spend the next few days disavowing what they have just stated.

@911 Dr. Fauci may need more than a companion. I agree with your statement about psychopaths.
 
He's appearing on CNN this evening at 8:00 Eastern time. Not sure what time anywhere else. I plan to tune in and see what he has to say.
 
I detest Tucker Carlson's racist rhetoric, BUT there's no excuse for putting him and his family at risk. People seem to have forgotten about the art of debate. He has as much right to his opinions as I have to mine. Whatever happened to a fair and reasonable exchange of ideas?
 
I was surprised to find out that most public personalities pay at least 10% of their incomes on security. It's well know that with fame comes the nuts. There is the gamut from deranged stalkers to psychotic murders, who place a celebrity in their sights. And add to the list, political misfits, who will use any means to silence suspected political heresy. Into this soup of celebrity and agendas, add the internet with its rumor, posing as fact, lies, over the top emotion, and ability to find people, you wind up with death thterats.
BTW, my brother was a coach in a pre-teen football league. He loved the kids and doing it. But he had to quit. He said he didn't mind the death threats he got. But when people began to follow his wife and kids, for the safety of his family he had to quit. Now, this was a guy, who coached 8-9 year old, who looked like bobble heads, when they had their helmets on. People were seriously threaten his life. His car was damaged on several occasions. So you don't have to be A list stars to run into people, who can't control their emotions.

Sad but true, Fuzzy. And it's probably worse than usual these days. People are frustrated, bored, worried, no end in sight, many are hurting financially. That's all it takes in some cases to trigger off the "hate and violence" button.

Quick - -is there some supporter of some ? third party that has also had a death threat. Reminds me of the old TV or radio show, "Can You Top This".

Who cares about Tucker Carlson. He's a TV hack, the same as most of the others on the competing news channels. They all push out inflammatory BS, trying to energize their followers. Most of it is exaggerated or outright lies. MSNBC, CNN, FOX, etc. - - they're all the same, to some degree. That's what they get paid to do and teasing the wacko's comes with it.

The thread was concerning a doctor, respected worldwide, who is giving medical advice in the hopes of saving lives. He's not running for a political office and his opinions are based on medicine and science, not which party should or will win the election.

If there's enough interest, let's start a thread on "Threats to political hacks", but keep it separate from those who are truly concerned about us.
