When I was young I thought old people were set in their ways. But now I'm thinking it's just that when you get older you have tried so many things that you can pretty much reason out beforehand you won't like many of them. I've always been too careful about wasting money, probably because my parents grew up in the depression and it was preached to me. That may be a factor too.
For example, I was slow to get a cell phone. Couldn't live without one now, but it's just a simple one. One day I'll get a smart phone, but they have to give me some reasons that make sense to change first. (Or more likely quit making the stupid ones. Ha!).
Is this just rationalizing the fact that you've become an old curmudgeon?
Examples where you have been slow to change?
