Share with us the dream you had last night.

Right this is as much as I can remember. Both one sister and one brother were alcoholics in my dream.. there was a huge carry on in the dream where I was in a facility trying to get both of them off the booze..seperately...

One sister was using a childs stair gate to stop her going out for booze..lol.... but she was drunk while she was assembling it...

I was trying to see to them, and see to the sisters' baby and make sure she was being fed and watered as well...

I can't remember the rest except to say... while doing all this my phone rang and a voice said ''long time no see, it must be 30 years..I'm in town, and would love to come and see you ''....

It was the actor, from Starsky & Hutch, Paul Michael Glaser. He'd started a big business near where I live, and he came over to have a drink with me, but when he saw the state of my life looking after all the deadbeats, he started pulling my leg asking me if I was a drunk now too ..:ROFLMAO:

Now I have to tell you, I have never had the hots for PMG...nor have I been reading about him lately so that's very strange to dream about him....

..but I did work with him many years ago
Holly, seems likely to me that you interpreted your own dream symbolically, probably more or less similarly to the DreamChatbox's interpretation. Despite the sad state of your "sisters" and the frustrating impossibility of remedying their situation in the dream, there's something amusing (for me) reading your account. Paul Michael Glaser even winds up joking with you about being drunk yourself (or that's how I interpret it when you say he started "pulling your leg").

It's as though there was an element of detachment in you, regarding the absurd situation of watching one drunk sister attempting an ineffectual means to restrain the other one.😁

So having read your summary, I wondered whether you had a bit of a laugh recalling the dream when you woke up and thought about it?

Brand new car, just driven off the lot. Parts of the interior were absurdly thin plastic, came apart and I had to carefully piece them back into place. Picked up some friend as previously agreed and she dragged along two little girls, maybe 4 and 6, which she was babysitting or maybe they were grandchildren.

They were climbing all over, asking about pens because they wanted to draw on the car interior. For unknown reasons I was completely naked. Nothing titillating about this, it felt extremely awkward. Those kids took it in stride as if normal and just kept chattering a mile a minute. I just wanted them out of the car since they were just more on top of the previous anxiety over the flimsiness of such an expensive item.
I have had similar nightmares - the naked part I mean. Waking up is so nice!

I don't often remember anything about dreams now days, but every time I see this topic I think of

The Electric Prunes " I Had Too Much To Dream". Tried several times to post a link, damn thing won't work.

What Did You Dream About Last Night?

Rita Hayworth and I came onto the floor from opposite directions.
The lights were low and we slowly saunted towards each other.
The music started and we began the most exotic tango.
Her eyes were bright and winking at me, her lips pouting out imaginary kisses and she whispered, "After the dance Darling, after the dance."
The music ended and holding hands we started walking off the floor, then Rita turned to me and in the most sensuous whisper, she said, "OK, Tim, giz one of your toffees." 😊

I don't remember what I dreamt last night, but the night before I dreamt that Queen Elizabeth made a pastrami sandwich for me. Or she ordered it. I'm not clear on that part. But there was also a side of bacon. I was going to eat it, though I don't eat pork ever, because, Queen Elizabeth and all, but thankfully, I woke up before that happened.

Whew! That was a close call!

I can only remember a little bit, but it involved my ex hsuabnd DD's father... we divorced 40 years ago....

In the dream he was fit and healthy and young as he was when we got married ( he's diabled now )... and he was living somewhere in a house far from here. It was clear in the dream I was trying to get him back ( I never would in real life)..altho' that was going unspoken..

I'd gone to his house, but when it was clear he didn't want to get back together I demanded my DD's doll back.. which was a doll that had to ends to it.. like this
s-l1600.jpg
.. it was made for DD, by ex's aunt, DD;s great aunt... only in my dream the doll was about 4 feet tall...

DD was small again in the dream, but I think I was still the age I am now.... however he gave me the doll .. and I took it... next day I went back for some reason only to find he'd decorated his house in all the colours and materials that are my favourites... but as spite..

In the meantime, I drove off, and landed in Las Vegas on the strip driving on pedestrain walkways where I had no business being, and almost colliding with people.. totally lost..,,, nothing to do with the first part of the dream..

The funny thing is if I told my ex about this dream.. I know he would say he had absolutely no memory of DD ever having such a doll...:ROFLMAO:

A Cricket Bat will be an effective self defense item, One behind most every door is exceptional. Also a Hickory walking stick / Canes?
Very effective cripplers for one on one mugging encounters in your home. You can get a cane license to carry in public.

Not sure the London Laws on shotguns. Most likely with a hunters license. Choosing one could entail training for your personal safety.
Many firearm accidents involve cleaning and not MT firing chamber. Always know your fire arm is loaded until you completely unload
the pump and semi-automatics. It's so easy to overlook that safety rule with firearms.

I was early 20's, loading my fairly new 22 Remington semi automatic rifle at the edge of the Timber to hunt Squirrels. Put in the magazine &
let the round into the chamber, bang firearm went off all by itself when slide closed 22 into the chamber. No more Remington's after
that. Into ground went the bullet. Lucky the ground wasn't frozen.

I can guess most all who have ever held a firearm have accidentally fired it into the ground or air somewhere. Lesson learned.
I met an LEO officer who did safety training programs, He accidentally fired his Glock 9mm when removing it from a locking holster.
The Holster always requires a mental safety reset too. Rushing, filming safety videos, so much to think about with script too. Mental
lapse, unlucky and dead quickly can so easily occur. ... :coffee: ... Note for dream, dream safety too.

One having large quick changes to their life can bring about panicky dreams at night too. Wake up heavy breathing that sort of stuff.
Resetting with that stuff can be difficult too. Recalling experiences can help, falling back on old memories, wisdom, etc.

The old, Nothing really changes it just gets on with it. .....

Which part was your dream? (Or are you responding to another post?)

Somebody who knew me from my past (high school? college?) seemed to stumble upon me out of the blue. There was a prior unrelated dream I can't remember at all, but it led into this one.

I had stumbled over a low "cliff" (maybe 10 feet high) and ended up uninjured by the side of a small river. Then this other person and a companion came along a path and called to me from the other side. I think we were both surprised at the coincidence of knowing each other.

Soon we came together on a bridge over the river, and she and her companion led me to a strange place. It was some sort of weird monastery, turned out she was some kind of nun. An old priest was brought to me (or vice versa) and he went into a rambling conversation and series of verbal tests. Then there were other tests, written and otherwise, including one where for some reason the "friend" was totally nude.

I must have passed because I was soon given a series of tasks to complete back out in the world. Most of them made no sense at all. At least none of it was dangerous. I awoke with the distinct feeling that this unnamed friend had been sent out to find me.
