Short films you have enjoyed.

The world needs more love
I came across this film today, it was very powerful. 20 minutes in length.

One of the best comments regarding the movie was ["you are comparing your insides to someone else's outside" - my therapist]

What are some of your favorite short films?

Peter and the Wolf, 2006 Polish–British–Norwegian stop-motion animated short film, is my all-time favorite. (abt 30-min long)

Unlike other filmed versions of Peter and the Wolf, this one has no narration. It totally relies on composer Sergei Prokofiev's music and the animator's gorgeous, powerful imagery to tell the story.

There was an earlier BW short film (1960s?) about a fisherman surf casting into the ocean who catches a few fish, and then finds a sandwich lying on the beach. He takes a bite, but the sandwich is the bait on a large hook, which hooks him in the mouth. A line from the hook to the ocean is buried in the sand and appears as tension from out in the water is applied by an unseen force. The man is dragged into the water and is gone.

I wish I could find it on Utube, but it doesn't seem to be available. What is memorable is the surprise. A fisherman fishing <la dee da.... boring> and suddenly becomes caught by a fish just at the end. The film may be only 5 to 10 minutes long. I will never forget it. Anyone remember this? It played at theaters before the main feature for a month or so.
