I recently saw a man propose to a woman in a public place. That may be okay in today's society, but to me it would seem a more private thing to do.
Better privately because what if she said no or wanted to say no but felt compelled to accept the proposal and then broke it off later! Might seem romantic to some guys but it's not a very sensible thing to do.I recently saw a man propose to a woman in a public place. Aww, what a beautiful story! It really depends on the couple.
One time we went to dinner at a local restaurant & the owner's wife was decorating a table with flowers & rose petals & beautiful place settings. A young man showed up & talked to the lady & just about then another guy showed up with a guitar. Both guys went somewhere & the wife looked over & said he was going to propose. On & off for about 30 minutes, the kid showed back up in the dining room & the closer it got, the more nervous he looked. Then he disappeared out front & showed back up with his girlfriend.
Everyone knew by then what was going to happen by then. She walked into the dining room & stopped in her tracks & her face was priceless. His friend walked around the corner & started to play the guitar while he sang a love song to her. He led her to the table & she sat down while he got on his knee. At the end she said yes & he put the ring on her finger. Everyone applauded.
My husband looked at our daughter who was about 10 at the time & said that's how it's supposed to be done.
Considering the answer could be "no", a public place may not be the best place to ask. I agree the question should be between just the two. After, they could proclaim their upcoming union. to everybody.I recently saw a man propose to a woman in a public place. Yeah, ya know, if he wants to write it in the sky with the emissions from his private jet, who am I to complain? He just loves me.Thatâs completely up to the people involved. Some people like that kind of attention.
Some guys use a public place to add the additionally pressure.Better privately because what if she said no or wanted to say no but felt compelled to accept the proposal and then broke it off later! Might seem romantic to some guys but it's not a very sensible thing to do.
This is super inconsiderate. Weddings are expensive and the two deserve ALL the attention. Proposing at someone elseâs wedding is tacky.Depends...I do not like people who think it is fine to propose at another persons wedding reception.
Plus....if you are not certain of the response, than private is better
This is not a new thing to propose to a woman in public. This has been going on for years and years. 34 years ago my husband got down on one knee in a crowded restaurant with a ring and ask me to marry him. I was thrilled, everyone clapped, etc.I recently saw a man propose to a woman in a public place. That may be okay in today's society, but to me it would seem a more private thing to do.

Loved your story! So romantic! We were both widowed after long marriages, and the young down on the knee thing was not needed.
We were watching the Food Channel one day, and were watching Rachel Raye. Kathy happened to mention that
Rachel got married on the Greek island of Santorini. I said, âHey! We are going to go to Santorini on this cruise!â
Well, that got my wheels turning, and I Googled Santorini Weddings. It turns out it is a very popular place for
weddings, and there are a number of wedding coordinators on the island. I e-mailed one named Anna, and she was
very helpful with the information.
I then called Kathy, and said, "How would you like to get married on Santorini?", and she started laughing. I asked what was so funny, and she said,
âDo you know what my first thought was?â I said yes, I do, you thought,âWhat will I wear?â because you are a woman.
And Kathy said, laughing, âYou are absolutely rightâ.
After a flurry of e-mails, all the arrangements were made, and we will be met at the top of the tram by the wedding
arranger and a car.
While all of this was going on, I had a flash of inspiration! We would need wedding rings, so I went on the internet and
Googled Greek Key wedding rings. The first site I hit had a beautiful ring with the Greek key design. I printed out the
picture, and showed it to Kathy. She thought it was beautiful, so I ordered a set for us.
