Should the media release graphic images of gun violence victims?

Don't see the value

I certainly don't wish to see it

Seen enough, first hand

I'd say no. I think the most beneficial thing the news media does is cover the life stories of the victims... who they were, their roles in society, their families, their contributions, their accomplishments. That is the most effective way of tugging at the heart strings of the general population. It is not through grisly pictures.

When I saw the stories of the children killed in the Uvalde shooting, it made me feel something and made me want to get out and vote.

I believe the leaked footage from the Uvalde school is having devastating effects on the families. Seeing the parent's reactions in a news conference was hard to watch. You could see their pain.

They are going to release video of Uvalde shooting to the public - that is coming, but it isn't going to be showing the crime scene in the classroom.
Only the cowardly cops in the hallway, and the trail of the shooter into the school I believe.
As I understand it, they were going to release a "sanitized" version of the videos- no pics of dead kids, and the gun shot sounds removed. But a local TV, got ahold of the true version and aired it- minus dead kids.
Watching the video, it looked like the cops didn't know what to do. The killer is in a room full of kids, so they couldn't just go in shooting up the place.
