I don't know if this has been done before. I thought it would be a nice idea to show off your pets. Do you have a treasured dog, cat, or other animal?! Show it off to the world. I think many of you have already seen Bandit, the dog I had decades ago. Now show me yours!

Aiden is so cute, I love Wheatens too! People often mistake my Labradoodle for a Wheaten because they have similar colorings.

Thank you, SeaBreeze. Aidan should have been named Dennis the Menace. The Labradoodles I have met are calm and gentle. We met one in Home Depot and I thought my husband was going to dognap her ... she was lovely. Every person he has met since his adult coat started coming in has thought he is a Labradoodle, except for the vet.

Do they neuter rats, etc.? I raised white rats when I was in junior high and pretty soon I had a zillion of them, much to my mother's dismay.

That would have scared me to death!! Did the hawk actually grab on to him? I'm glad he wasn't hurt.

Probably. But usually it is advised to pair up same sex rats as pets, as they usually do better as pairs.

Something great about rats is that you can mix groups of the same gender. The boys might be more territorial I don't know. But most rodents aren't accepting of a strange rodent in their cage. Our pack is all female but when one or two have passed on I've brought home babies. Always the same reaction...much sniffing and nosing then the whole group joins in washing the youngster. Then she has become an official family member.

My two sets of rats have been siblings each time, so they were together since birth. I know when I brought Dot and Dash home, I still had Miss Daisy, from my original pair. Miss Daisy did a lot of grumbling and bruxing at the intruders, and never did take to them completely. But she was old by then (for a rat) and did pass not too long after.
