As a photographer, have never used computer screen wallpapers and rather use a neutral dark gray background in order to better evaluate image colors.

Fun to see what others use and hear the back story but I prefer a plain background, reserving the whole surface as work space. But I have favorite photos I use for banners on various sites.

I alternate and almost always use photo that I have taken. Currently I have this one, which is from a bike trail. I believe that was a 25 mile day..? I know I started early! lol

I just finished looking through all the pictures in this thread; very nice. I have no screensaver. It is set to go dark after 2 minutes of inactivity.

Right, it's solid black. I've had pictures before, but they interfered with me clearly seeing my desktop icons, so I dumped them.
