Since my "brain music" is continuing

today, I decided to give you an idea of it....the song "God Bless America" which
most in USA will know about or have heard before, has been steadily playing in
my "jukebox brain" for about 3 hours now, repeatedly over and over and over,
that along with the "tinnitus crickets" that also are sounding off loudly at
the same time......this today is a little more unusual due to length of the repetition
of this song....sometimes I hear a country song, some rock n roll songs, other types of religious songs, ....this is one reason I have the TV on all the day long, to have
something else to listen to.....ah well...wonder if any of you will catch a "song worm"
now that I've brought mine up !! lol...
 

Is that caused by the tinnitus? My huzz has tinnitus but has never reported hearing music before but all of a sudden this morning keeps asking me why I’ve got a radio somewhere playing a football game. Well there isn’t of course and now he’s getting frustrated “Can’t you hear that?! I can’t believe you cant hear that!”

My hearing is off a little right now because we’ve both got strep throat so I’ve searched through the house but can’t find the source of anything sounding like a football game.

I get this kind of thing often -- usually after listening to the radio on the way to work. Catchy songs tend to stick in my head, whether I’m a fan or not. I end up humming or singing them at work because I just can’t help it.

One instance that really sticks in my mind was after hearing an Abba song on the radio during my commute. I started singing it at work. Most of my colleagues are into 1970s British rock, so when I began singing, they just looked at me with quiet curiosity.

That was… until they eventually joined in, uncontrollably singing along to the catchy song. Picture several blokes singing out, “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! A man after midnight!

I wasn’t the most popular person at work that day.

I have tinnitus. Just that high pitched ringing during the day.

Now the odd thing is at night, it is music. Seems to be worse when the air conditioner kicks on......I mentioned the teen (grandson) next door throwing a ball against the house.

This had been happening for weeks. I went next door to talk to the neighbor. Well, the teen and his Mom had moved, she got remarried. I have not heard it the last few nights. It is like brain finally understood it was not real.
 
I constantly have tinnitus but don't think about it until someone mentions it.
I have always sung around the house any song that has come to mind, lately
I've been getting earworms from the "shorts" on Youtube that show different
people dancing to the same tune. A few weeks ago it was Chuck Berry's
"Cest la Vie" and this week it's, "Don't be Cruel."

However, there's something much worse and that's the occasional song that lasts all
day and all night so that I wake up hearing it. I had it from the Maverick's "Neon Blue"
and Allison Krauss's "Ghost in This House." These are both songs I really liked, but
I will never listen to them again.
 
I also suffer with tinnitus and have put up with it since my mid 40s. It's a whistling tone ranging from a high d to e on the scale. Over the past year it has become louder to the point of interfering with my hearing conversation. My
Audiologist tells me it is caused by the die off of hair cells in my ears. It's genetic and sort of like phantom limb sensations experienced by people who have lost an arm or leg.

I have musical tinnitus caused by chemotherapy, according to my doctors. Mine wasn't loud - sometimes I could barely hear it. Sometimes it was instrumental music, and sometimes I could hear singing too. Sometimes I knew the songs, sometimes I didn't.

It was annoying at first. Eventually I got used to it because now I can sort of tune it out. I also noticed I can drown it out by listening to music. It is not always present, though. I noticed it a few days ago, but not since. Maybe I killed it listening to music because my music is loud.

Earlier today I heard distant music. It turned out to be someone using a chain saw a block away.
 
Yes, I don't think there is ever a time when the background jam isn't cranking out it's latest fav in my mind. I have just made my peace with it, and figured that if it ever stops playing, I'm in deep trouble. At least I don't ever have to money in the JB, so there's that bright side.
 
My night-time tinnitus is a bunch of people talking in another room. I can just hear the murmur-murmur-murmur but can't make anything out. It's like a cocktail party to which I was NOT invited....LOL. Sometimes there's music. I know it's music but can't make out what the song is....it's too far away.

I keep a fan on and that helps, both with the air movement and the "white sound".
 
I don’t hear anything in my ears. I must be lucky. I often heard that tinnitus is caused by different medications. I knew a fellow Officer that had broke his leg while skiing around 2000. They gave him OxyContin for pain. After he stopped using it, his tinnitus kicked in.
