Single serve of fried chips too large to consume

I am holidaying in Busselton. Opposite is a Fish and Chip shop.
I was a little peckish so ordered a minimum serving of chips.
$3 worth.
I was able to eat about a 1/4 of the serving. Would have been at least a kilo in weight. 2.2 pounds.
Crazy amount for $3, especially when compared to a small serve at a sports match which comes in a very small upright cardboard container for $5
