Sirhan Sirhan won parole

Oh c'mon. You can't prove the veracity of anything said here.
So, you do not believe that John and Bobby (both married, by the way) had sexual relations with Norm Jean.

I liked Bobby Kennedy and JFK and I believe they both cared about their country.
The man who murdered Bobby Kennedy should die in prison in my humble opinion.

Just remember no one on this earth is perfect.

He took a life and needs to stay put. Newsome is up for recall as Governor. If he should decide to let him rot, it may not sit well with his liberal friends and I imagine that he has many because California is the most liberal state in America.

You also said: "Some mixed feelings here. Neither John nor Bobby gave two pins about Norma Jean when they took her to bed and plunged her into a life of confusion. Furthermore there is some evidence that Bobby poisoned her. Whether that is true or not it cannot be denied that both brothers caused her plenty of mental anguish which (either by Bobby's poison or by her own hand) was instrumental in her premature death. So ..... Bobby , huh?"

You don't know if they gave two pins, or one pin, or no pin, whatever a pin is, btw. She was already plunged into a life of confusion since her Norma Jean days. You know Bobby poisoned her? How do you know that? You don't know if the brothers caused mental anguish. You can't know the intimate details of any of them, that's all I'm saying. You don't know their feelings, and she never said. When a woman has affairs with powerful Married Men it usually winds up poorly, or certainly back then with the old rules.

And that's the nicest thing they did.

At 77 where does he go? How does he support himself? Where can he find a person that would help him? He does not deserve freedom and if released he will wish he was back in prison but maybe I'm forgetting all the money the media will offer him to appear?

Only in America...the president's dead and the killer's gonna walk free.
You'd either have to be a hero, or really stupid, to want to be president.
Unfortunately, I'm a Canadian and I don't think our prime minister is either.

You proved my point for me, the red one:

"When a woman has affairs with powerful Married Men it usually winds up poorly, or certainly back then with the old rules."

When two friends or brothers bounce a woman from one to the other you can be fairly certain they don't give two pins about her.

As far as your "green" question I already answered it.

Poor Norma Jean. Bounced about, used up and such a beautiful lady. With the two brothers it's starting to sound like "the story of O"

I don't know how I feel about it either. I'd guess the parole board might be better experienced to make a recommendation (not that I have any high opinion of them, but I am aware of my own lack of knowledge).

We are actually talking about Bobby Kennedy and whether he is worthy of our sympathy and/or admiration. For several reasons (one of them very personal) he does not have mine.

Bobby Kennedy connection with Joe McCarthy did not sit well with me. The other McCarthy, Eugene, did all the hard work then Bobby swept in. I was for Gene. Gene couldn't have beat Nixon. Bobby could. He could unite southern white folks and had the support of black people. He had the real hope/change persona long before Obama thought of it. I'm not blind to his faults. He was the man of the hour. I saw his murder live, exactly when it happened. Martin Luther King had just been assassinated, now this. It was shocking. I was still a teen age girl, interested and confounded by all the challenges surrounding me. I "might" have been better off worrying about myself than the state of the world. I'll never know.

A murder victim doesn't need our sympathy or admiration, Justice is what is needed. The death of Bobby Kennedy was a Big Deal and changed our future.

I would love to know your very personal reasons you referred to. Sounds interesting.

Hmm. I'm not blind. I know his background. I know the switcheroo that was committed; I know he changed by having to pick the right horse. I was there. I was working hard, in the ways I could, for my brothers in uniform. I cared about the young men of my generation. It seems I'm breaking my own OP so won't add any more except to say I know you were damaged from your experience. I'm very sorry you had to endure it.
