Sites I Don’t Belong To

These are popular yet I haven’t found a reason to belong to them. Maybe I’m missing out on something.

Pinterest - my DD is adamant I should belong to this.
Instagram
YouTube
Tumblr - went to read a linked article and couldn’t without joining
Reddit
Spotify - I tested the premium version and didn’t find anything worth paying for.

There are oodles more. Are there some you really like or others you haven’t found a reason to use?

I'm all over YouTube. Live cat rescue organization cams. Other live cams. Crafting and sewing. Recipes. Dumpster diving. I follow a couple who live in their 5th wheel with their 3 cats.

Pinterest. So many ideas. Free patterns

Instagram. I signed up to follow someone's dog. I now follow some other channels and a couple who adopted a pair of kittens from one of the YouTube live cams is posting about them on Instagram so I'm following.

Reddit. I had heard Reddit could be harsh but I've found it not to be so and I go to the sub for people raised by borderlines. It's very well moderated and they don't allow anyone to post who's primary child care giver was not a borderline.

I'm not on Tumblr, Spotify. I am on Twitter to follow a few people.

For me, it’s a case of not missing what I’ve never had.

I use FB because of family and friends.

I have a love hate relationship with Pinterest.

I’m a member of nextDoor because the neighborhood alerts and the ability to advertise household items have been helpful, but I try to steer clear of the discussions.

I don’t really have anything against any of the sites and would be willing to try them if I thought that they would be helpful.

i love you tube---but i think you have to pay or it now
I love youtube too.. and use it every day.. have many subscriptions and even my own little channel.. never paid a penny...

I use Pinterest most days, but that's because my hobby is photography in all it's genres...

I opened a twitter account years ago when it first came to be a thing. Never used it, and still don't... you know they say that people who use twitter are knowns as Tw*ts

I have a FB account, never chatted to anyone on it, except my own family a few times ..I'm not interested in it as a form of social media, but I do use it occasionally for the marketplace

I don't use and have never been on any of the Tik-tok sites or their equivalents...

You can learn how to fix almost anything, cook anything,,watch history docs, armchair travel. If its interesting, its on YouTube.

Forgot to mention TikTok. I’ve never even looked at it.

Maybe I have a YT account. If a search ends up there, I can use it without signing in.

I like Pinterest. Great recipes!
U-tube is informative on many things. I didn't know you have to BELONG to it though.
I was on Redditt for a bit but teenagers describing their last toilet evacuation was repulsive.
I stay away from China based sites.
Other than that, I'm pretty much a novice on the Internet.

I have Facebook and Twitter accounts, but I almost never use them. I don't get the appeal — especially with Twitter. There's no real interaction with anyone. I have a Reddit account but rarely use it, and LinkedIn.

YouTube is my most used account since I watch it through my Roku box. They have everything! That's where I'm learning how to cook... by watching videos. And the people who create content earn a living on YouTube, so it's good for everyone, other than the fact that the commercials can be annoying. Someday, I'll get a paid account to eliminate the commercials.

I don't use any other social media sites. I've looked at a lot of them and they're almost all dominated by kids. That's good for kids but I have no interest in them — the sites or the kids. They're annoying! :ROFLMAO:

@Irwin
I have ad blockers installed. Never get ads on You Tube.

I didn't get the need to belong to Pinterest, so never joined after I checked it out.
I don't belong to: Twitter, Instagram and Reddit. I joined Spotify so I could view my page when my songs were added. I believe I have the free membership. I don't think one really has to "join" You Tube. I have Google accounts and once YT came under Google's umbrella, I can just hop on over from my email page. I've used YT to create all kinds of playlists, including one with every 45 in my collection (except two I couldn't find). Never even checked out Tumbir.
