Six Continents with the Most Beautiful Women

Can we complain to the site owner that this post is sexist as *%$#? Can we alsio complain that women being judged for their "beauty" alone is so very 20th century and many of us female people are freakin' sick of it.

Please mod, delete this post.

Absolutely no reason for deleting the post. Always someone feels offended by something. If we would delete ever if someone demands it, there would be no forums at all in the end. If you don't like it, don't read it. It's just simple!

I was going to say that because if I was a judge, none of those would have got in the top 10...anyway it's well known that beauty judges whether women or little children.. take bribes...that's an absolute proven thing..so no-one can actually judge what's beautiful and what isn't on behalf of everyone else...
Holly, I concur with your statement.

But beauty contests are 100% consensual...adult ones are, anyway. The participants willingly vie for 1st Place, and enter hoping to win.

Newly crowned, Miss America, Madison Marsh is the first Active Duty Officer ever to win Miss America. Let's not reduce her or any woman to cultural stereotypes.

She's 22 years old and is not only flying planes for the military but has graduated from the Airforce Academy with a degree in Physics. Has also graduated from Harvard with a Masters in Public Policy. Raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Research after her mother passed away from it, citing that it's the most underfunded cancer yet remains the #1 killer.

Many of these women who enter pageants are not focused on beauty but rather looking for recognition in order to further their causes.

The characteristics that are often considered desirable in a mate, being a sense of humour, intelligence, kindness, understanding, a family orientation and physical attraction. Research consistently shows that we rank most or all of these traits as more important, but we don't reject good looks, after all, it's usually how we notice one another in the first place.
Beauty though, can come at a price. In our younger dancing days, we met a very attractive couple at some dance contest, later, getting to know them, the lady made a very telling remark. She said that there were times when every creep, who thought he was God's gift, either made a pass at her, or worse, a less than subtle suggestion that she might get between the sheets with him.
"A knee in the nads time," I said. "I must remember that," she replied.
In case you are unaware: Nads is an abbreviation of Gonads, meaning his nuts.

LOL..as you quoted me HC...I have to tell you I am very aware what Gonads means....

...and yes I've not been unattractive myself in my youth according , and have had the same unwanted attention from men...and women...

Consider the source.

Historically, beauty pageants were created by men. Beauty contests exist either consciously or unconsciously in the dating world and in hiring. (How many old and ugly receptionists have you met in your lifetimes? I can't even write 1 for the answer to that question. I have met maybe 2 male receptionists in my lifetime. All the others were young, pretty and female. WHY? Because they want a pretty face to represent the business. )

Historically, women participated in beauty pageants because there were very few other ways in which women were allowed to find advancement in life. Historically, women have been taught that the only goal in life is to get married and to find a spouse, it helps to be pretty.

Because of this history of promoting beauty above all other measurements in a women's life, we have a multi-billion dollar beauty industry, 95% of which is laser-focused on women alone. Not on men. Just on women, This trend has changed only in the past 20 years or so with cosmetics manufactuerers realizing men can also be made to feel insecure about how they look and they can sell cremes, lotions and dyes to men too.

History is written by the winners. Who has won in this contest between men and women? The men have.

Maybe it will take another 50 years for the women to win and when that happens, maybe ALL women here will see that we have been tools for the cosmetics and fashion industry for well over a century.

When the women win, maybe FINALLY, finally, the FDA will have health and safety standards for all make-up and cosmetics? But right now, because the FDA is run by men who don't use lipsticks (usually), it is perfectly okay for your lipstick to have lead and other heavy metals in it. Those are not banned by the FDA.

To you, these are just pictures of young ladies. To me, they are pictures of oppression - just like if these old men posted pictures of Black women in maid's uniforms from the 1940s, or posted pictures of Native American kids all wearing the same uniform, sitting at a Catholic school after having been ripped from the arms of their families. They are all pictures of opression and SILENCING.

And now, I have refused to be silent. That is my crime. So now, to punish me for not being silent, I get push-back from the mob.

Same old playbook.

I know you meant well by saying that, but kneeing a man is assault or battery. God forbid, what if she attacks a lawyer? Yes, of course there are creepy lawyers out there. Then does she get sued for following your advice?

It is hellishly difficult to change the attitudes of a whole society; to get men to stop thinking of women as things to gawk at. To get whole industries, usually run by men and devoted to making women things to gawk at, to stop it.

We respond with joke advice to knee the guys because we don't know what else to say. But deep inside, for every woman who laughs it off you'll find other ladies who are just plain sick of it - sick of all the creepy men, to the point of despair.

And if Old Men are supposed to teach the younger men how to behave in life, including how to treat women, you Old Guys who are posting these pictures, these #1 priority measurements of females, do you REALLY want to teach yet another generation of young guys to be like you in this regard?!

Lets be fair about this.

There are 7 continents but since Antarctica doesn't have penguins that IMO don't qualify for the thread topic the OP was fair for representation by the other 6.

Then there is this

The below are software generated average facial images from large numbers of individual young women's images of each ethnic group that has been shown on many web sites. The software tends to idealize each result to be symmetrical without blemishes. More on how that was done at this link:

The average woman revealed: Study blends thousands to faces to find wh

As a visual single male, I generally tend to only allow myself to enjoy the beauty of women's faces in person versus uncommonly through media. Especially the way media tends to focus on body parts for obvious reasons. I find looking into women's faces a deep natural experience I don't wish to lessen, dilute. In doing so, am attracted to a wide range of women's faces of many ethnicities beyond those bombarded in this era by media and especially a smiling woman's eyes on a face with little to no makeup.

Not sure why so many get their knickers in knots over beauty pageants.

We celebrate intelligence which is genetic. So what is the problem with celebrating beauty...which also comes from the genes of the parents.
