Six white Mississippi cops admit torturing black men and shooting one of them

I have to wonder where they find these people? These six morons are going to cost their county millions of dollars, not to mention they will have to raise taxes and I wouldn’t be surprised if all of the deputy sheriff employees will be questioned and polygraphed.

I have a friend that is a PA State Trooper and we were talking about this and he thinks each deputy will have to undergo a new vetting procedure and be polygraphed to make sure they aren’t or weren’t part of this wrecking ball. He said usually, each employee is effected somehow when something like this happens and I can understand why.

It just makes me wonder what’s wrong with people? People need to join the here and now movement.
Their "leadership" should've saw this coming but they're racist and/or won't cross the blue line. The application and hiring process should've saw this coming.

And if this department is like many other small or large towns there's a good chance to get any government job they need a politician's or vip reference like a cop on the force. If someone gave them a reference alot of other stuff is frequently over looked including low test scores.

Lived in a town where politicians/cops gave references to people with criminal records, active restraining orders, ignored veteran and minority points/preference. They also ignored civil service test scores. having to rescore or regive the test 2 times in less than 10 years.

Most police agencies do polygraph screening on job applicants, not just the officer positions but all other potential hires. However, small town departments in a poor rural area may cut corners on such hiring expenses.

The polygraph test is like faith healing- it's only effective if the subject believes in it. The polygraph test can help reveal deception, but the machine can only report the subject's body responses, which the examiner interprets...

The military was once the brunt of a lot of racist remarks. That has changed over the past 40 years. Today, all branches of the military treat each individual as just that, an individual. We can see white Marines and Marines of color being discharged as best friends that carry on for years. The color of one's skin is no longer judged any differently than that of any other man. We are all equal and promoted based on merit only as it should be.

Yes, in many ways the military has lead the way on civil rights. Easier when you can order people to do something, interesting that it seems to have worked.

It comes back to leadership and discipline. What makes the military effective are the nco's(non commissioned officiers) who train and supervise. If these criminal cops had been properly supervised with regularity their racism would've been picked up. Just a comment should've been a verbal reprimand. It's seems supervision was lacking big time.

Let a few cops go bad and now all cops are painted bad. Pretty soon, no one wants to be a cop and criminals run free. The media only fans the flame and the gullible buy into it.

Then again, dealing with the worst types of people as a cop, I can see where they get calloused. It's a tough job.

These people ruin society for everyone. They are corrupt, selfish, sadistic, infected, and infested.
They abuse their authority. They ruin trust and respect. They make the world a worse place.
Thank god there are others that are the complete opposite or we would be doomed.

I cannot think of many other professions where people make these broad assumptions about ALL in the profession..... maybe corruption in politicians comes to mind.

Many dentists have been found to fondle patients while under do we blame ALL .......nope Many dr. or nurses who have been mercy killers are we blaming ALL ... nope

LOOK at all the teachers in jail or still out there sexually abusing kids yet are ALL teachers/ coaches labeled as pedophiles ...Nope

I do not understand the mentality as when more then one or two do things that are illegal ...
i think in a group at the very least . Someone should have said " stop........ this is wrong"

Yep, and they all too often have to make split second life or death decisions. I think we owe them some leeway, no cop should worry about being prosecuted or persecuted over marginal things.

However this one wasn't marginal, about as far from it as it gets... When that happens I think the cops should get the maximum punishment, these are people trained and paid to protect us.

When you see people ganging up on someone like these police officers did there's usually a failure on top! Either their superiors are indifferent or they silently support the barbarians!

I took a polygraph while working for United. They were complaining that people on the flight crews were stealing the small bottles of booze they sell onboard. When they sent me a letter telling me I would be given a polygraph the week of 10/07/01, I felt a bit disgraced. The person that sent the letter said we would know the results within two weeks. I never heard a thing.

At the next company meeting, this issue was raised and I stood up and told the brass that I never heard a word and someone owes me an apology. I had worked for United for over 25 years and never took a thing that wasn’t offered. The person in charge of HR did apologize to everyone that passed their polygraph. I guess that was good enough.

The reason they never contacted us as to who was cleared was because the company that was paid to run the tests lost the results. There were a lot of pissed off people at that meeting.

Not surprising. The whole thing of polygraphing employees in the situation you describe can be a legal rabbit hole nobody wants to go down.
I guess it’s better to say you lost the results, instead of pointing fingers.

How about the story in the papers today. Black guy eating dinner in a restaurnt with his family.. holding his tiny baby. Cops rush in mistake him for a fugitive who is hiding in the bathroom and unknown to the family guy , and beat the crap out of him while he's holding his baby

The shocking moment four Wisconsin cops violently restrained an innocent black man holding a baby in a restaurant has been caught on camera.

An internal investigation has been launched after the Illinois man was pulled away from dining in Kenosha with his family at Applebees, knocked to the ground and repeatedly struck in the head on July 20.

Cops wrongly suspected the man of being involved in a hit and run on Highway 50 and Green Bay Road, Kenosha, earlier that night. The suspect in that incident was actually hiding in the Applebee's bathroom while the violence unfolded outside.

Witnesses said two black males and a black female had fled on foot toward the restaurant, according to officers.

Astonishibgly..even thoough the police admitted they'd got the wrong guy...

Cops confirmed that the man they restrained was not the person responsible for the hit-and-run but is instead facing a slew of charges, including disorderly conduct, resisting, and obstructing an officer.

The individuals responsible for the hit-and-run were later located inside the Applebee's bathroom.

For some reason, the actions of the cops don't seem to be that extraordinary. The 'Black Lives Matter' movement has pretty well documented how police view Blacks. We are human beings. We are not the most wonderful, ethical, creatures that ever walked the earth. How many world wars did we have? Police have a tendency to become tyrants, and above the law-it's part of us as humans. It's going to happen. We need layers of oversight to insure fairness for all. And when we don't, this happens.

Do these cops not realize that this hit and run driver has about zero chance to stage themselves as just someone with their family in a restaurant eating. Because these hit and run drivers are not smart and are not going to take the time to think of something like that. Obviously. And the cops aren't smart either. This is crazed.
