Sleeping arrangements

I like my bedroom to myself, with a single bed, a fitted bottom sheet, and a duvet. I like my window open all night, winter and summer, unless it is really cold.

Just me I am the same but I have to have a sheet on top as don`t like the blanket around my face.. I like windows open.. and also my
own bed.. my hubby and I don`t share a room because I am a terrible sleeper and he likes to sleep.. I read and he doesn`t so
we decided on your room and my room. lol works great..

My husband and I haven't shared a bed or bedroom for over 20 years. He snores and I kick the covers on and off all night. This could have led to murder!:D

I live with my cat and she sleeps on top of my double bed and also on the window sill, I have a lightweight duvet on right now for summer then a heavyweight for winter, I too like the window open especially now as it's much too warm and I'm having sleepless nights!

Very seldom do I open my windows because of the heat, humidity and my allergy problems.

I sleep alone too, sometimes Bella, my miniature schnauzer. gets in the bed, she always sleeps at the foot of the bed.

Like the OP, I too keep my windows open year 'round.

It literally has to drop into the 30's (or low 40's) before I'll close them.

I live where keeping windows open is an impossibility during the summer months. Too much heat and humidity. The A/C is running from about May to October most years.
I like to open windows late into the Fall and beyond.

The hubby and I have had a sleep number bed for 10 years now, and we use a micro fiber blanket for a sheet that keeps me from sweating during the night. I generally have a fever nightly, so we use separate top blankets to keep the hubby more comfortable. Bonnie and Jackie are right about the heat and humidity, so we too keep our windows closed and the a/c set to 68°.

My husband and I sleep in a king sized bed together, my Standard Schnauzer slept on my side at the foot of the bed before his arthritis became too bad. The cat visits throughout the night, and shares my pillow at times, putting his 'arm' around my neck.

We usually have the window open too, but now we have a small air conditioner in the window for summer. We also use a ceiling fan at times. I use a bottom and top sheet, and comforter.

We have a wonderful QS bed, and cannot abide sleeping alone. :):) In the Winter months we use an electric blanket to be toasty. Summer it's AC all the way.

my electric underblanket stopped working, I'll have to buy another when the temperature drops, it's one of those fleecy fitted ones, nice and comfortable but quite expensive

Married almost 54 years. About 20 years ago I decided on a separate bedroom...(so I could get some sleep...smile).
It continues to work well 'cause we each have preferences...and now don't have to give in to the other.

No AC overnight needed so far this year, but if we do 80º would be the setting

I live in Central Florida. Doesn't get much more humid than around here.

But I am also not about to hand all that money over to the utility company four months out of every year, so I have a lot of fans running almost all the time.

And of course, I wear shorts & light clothing.

I've managed to get through about 30 summers that way since I first began living by myself.

But I still hate this time of year!!!! :mad2:

About the same here. And ceiling fans in most rooms are a must for me too... have many large trees keeping the shade on the house all hours of the day... six 70 yr. old pines, and three huge oak trees ... some on the East side, some on the West and they do their job well. House stays cool and shady with them all summer, and I can keep the house at 72-73 with the A/C and I'm looking at about $110 electric bill on average in July/August. I'm happy with that.
It ran higher last winter . had an abnormal cold spell to contend with..
