Slept 20 hours and still feel tired

Yesterday at 11 am, I just felt so tired, I turned off the computer, laid down and turned on the TV. There was a movie just starting, but by the time the opening credits were over, I was asleep. Woke up about 5:30pm and had dinner and emptied the reservoir. I thought sleeping do much during the day, I would have trouble at night. WRONG! Fell asleep about 7 pm and woke up about 2 am to again empty the reservoir. The slept again until about 6 am. With so much shut-eye, you'd think I would feel rested? Maybe it just a reaction to having so many hot and humid days.

Just a few things to point out here... if you're in this heat wave and not balancing the drinks you mentioned with plenty of water/electrolytes, that may be your issue.

"1. Diuretics increase urine production, which helps the body eliminate excess water and sodium, but this can also lead to a loss of fluids and electrolytes if not balanced with adequate water intake.

2. Yes, diet iced tea can be considered a mild diuretic, primarily due to the caffeine it contains.
3. Yes, orange juice has diuretic properties

4. Yes, diet lemonade can be considered a diuretic. This is primarily because of the combination of its ingredients, specifically lemon juice and potentially certain artificial sweeteners"

One of the reasons I rarely nap during the day is because it ruins me for the rest of the day, I wake feeling so lethargic I don't do another thing. Like that old saying "a body at rest stays at rest", meaning they less you do the less you want to do.

Get up and stay busy, stick to a sleeping schedule, maybe you won't be so tired.

It could be all sorts of things, mild depression, stress, dehydration, heart, medication, diet, lack of exercise, etc…

Keep an eye on it and discuss it with your PCP if things don’t improve.
When I had my Medicare wellness visit with mt PCP, she took blood and urine samples to test for kidney function. I am wondering now why she suspected I had a kidney problem? Anyway, all the blood work was withing normal ranges except for non-fasting glucose, triglycerides and HDL cholesterol and even those were barely out of normal range.
I am doing the exercises I've been doing for years as well as taking the same meds.

Not really. I lay down a 5pm and turn on the TV. The next thing I know, it's going for 7am. Even then I feel I have to drag myself around. I have a feeling it just this continuous spell of miserably hot and humid weather. I'm sure I'll feel better once a little cooler temps arrive, if ever.

Darn, I was hoping you’d be feeling better today.

The next time you’re at the drug store pick up some electrolytes. They’re always good to have on hand.
