What is happening in your areas in terms of snow for all of those in the colder climates this time of year?

We had our first snowfall in my city not long ago. Here are a few pictures:

Those are looking out first my front window and second my back window. Anyone dreaming of a white Christmas? I love to watch snowfall on Christmas Eve especially!

It's been a very typical late fall. We've had a few small dustings over the past week but nothing worth mentioning. Our first real snow is predicted for next Wednesday, December 8th.

There's great satisfaction in sitting comfortably indoors with a cup of hot coffee, watching the snow come down, and thinking "Ahhh . . . I don't have to go out and drive in this". :)

Last week we had an overnight cold rain here in the valley---but as the clouds lifted the next morning we could see the mountain ridges dusted in snow. Our heaviest snows are usually in January and February (coldest temps too, some times down to 0 Fahrenheit or sometimes lower) but we do sometimes get a white Christmas with deep enough snow to go out look for tracks of various animals across our land. And if i ever see the imprint of an Owl grabbing a rodent i need to photograph it and post it on the forum. i probably had seen one a couple of times before i realized what it was.

Hoping for sunny days for a while more. Just got another cord of wood i need to store closer to house. And hope to split some of the logs i've had for quite a while. Had some injuries that impeded that for a while but better now.

We had 'tracking snow' for the deer hunters.
That's snow that barely covers the grass.

After our deer hunter went home we had a couple of inches of snow.
Last ngiht's rain washed away all but few spots where its clinging to logs.
