It's not just young people, old people are hopeless too, like me. 
This is out of my leagueA line is 10 feet from a positioned line. The line moves 5 feet, then 2 1/2 feet then 1 1/4 feet, continuing with half the previous distance. At one point the moving line moves millionths of an inch and so on. Will it ever overlap the positioned line exactly?

Oh this reminded me of slide-rules and abacuses, neither of which I ever learned to use, if we are hit by a solar flare I will just be sliding beads up and down strings with no idea what I'm doing. :-(I think we need to go back to the old way, that served us well for centuries.![]()
