So Proud of My Baby Boy

My dog boy, my grand boy is another story:love_heart: I took him to the store I work in to try on sweaters. He has peach fuzz fur so he starts shivering in the house this time of year. For all the people who will gladly walk into traffic than cross his path everyone from work was great! He's a total ladies man. The men in the place kept their distance.

But all these women coming up to him and the hugging and kissing and tushy rubs. You should have seen the smile:D

Did you find a sweater for him Fur? I've used the FidoFleece, easy to get on and take off, but not water resistant. I think women are more likely to pet someone else's dog, is he friendly with men? If they walked in to pet him, would there be a problem? I'd give him a big hug and a belly rub. :)

Men getting close to me gets him a bit tweaky. But a woman can come up and bury his face in her chest and he is so very happy. He doesn't do belly in public but scratch his butt and he will love you forever. I found a blue cable sweater that is perfect. The sizing is hard sometimes. X large will hang over his butt or what have you. The large will be way too small. But the sweater you showed is adorable.

Yeah, nice thing about those is the Velcro closure along the back, they step in easy and it's an easy closure, quick to get off too.

What a sweet face! I just love the faces on Pit Bulls. They are so expressive.

I love anything fleece for pets because it's warm and it washes up nice and dries quickly. We have a lot of fleece throws for our sofas. With one senior dog, we put waterproof pads under the sofa cover and have lots of fleece throws for both the dogs and for us when it's chilly at night. They seem to last forever and always look nice. I have them in seasonal colors and patterns.

I think they're a good choice for dog "sweaters" for the same reasons. The people who used to live across the street had fleece dog jammies for their lab. They kept their house really cold at night in the winter so it worked out well. She would let them put them on every night. She knew the word "jammies" and would come running t have them put on. It was so cute.

The fleece does wash up easy and dries quickly Blondie, don't have any fleece throws though yet, but that would be handy. One of my past dogs who is no longer with us developed epilepsy, she had frequent seizures and clusters, several in a row. She was heavily medicated up until the end, plus she had hip dysplasia.

Anyhoo, we put water resistant mattress covers on our bed and pillows, and put the fabric type shower liners under the covers of the chairs and couch, just in case she started having a seizure and lost control.

Where do you buy your fleece throws?

The stuff we do for our pets, huh?

I've purchased them at Kohl's, Target, Walmart, Costco and Amazon. Some of the newer ones I've seen are a furry or silky (slippery?) material that's thinner and not as warm. It's hard to tell for sure when buying online. The old fashioned fleece that was sort of thick is the type I like best. Or the thicker Sherpa backed fleece is nice too.

I, for one, would stay far away from him.

That's only because you have no idea. I was a "cat person" for some forty years. Then I fell for this female dog on Petfinder. I had no idea about any dog breed. The first night I walked my pretty chicken dog...somebody yelled "It's a pit!!!!". I educated myself...wholly crap what the Bull Breeds have been through.

I have two muscular pups who know they are lap dogs. My boy will earn Canine Good Citizen and be a therapy dog for children. That is how easygoing my man is. The breed most likely to bite? Dachshund...Try to ban them.n
