So rude and then so very nice

So I went to a Christmas Craft Market but I had a difficult time finding the location as it is is in a wooded park area. This guy came jogging along and I tried to ask him and he looked straight at me and ignored me and kept jogging away from me. Luckily, I found another young fellow, who helped me. And guess what this other guy was doing, he was getting married today!! And he stopped to give me directions! That is one lucky young lady who will be marrying this kind young man who gave me directions on probably one of the busiest days of his life.

to be fair to the jogging guy - it is not easy to stop in the middle of running and he may well have had earbuds in so he wouldn't have even heard your question.
I dont think it was neccesarily rude or ignoring.
I run with my earbuds in.

Most joggers seem to be minding there own business, perhaps even pacing themselves as they jog. To me they are clearly engaged in something personal, and therefore personally i wouldn't bother them. To me it would seem rude to. I can't think why I would want to stop or get the attention of someone who was in mid jog, unless it way something to do with safety.

I do wonder why a man’s busiest day in his life, due to getting married that day, found himself in a a wooded park in winter. A pre wedding photo shoot perhaps. Or out for a walk to calm his nerves. The OP could have been a well deserved destraction.

Sometimes it’s worth seeing things from the other people’s perspectives.

Yep. Rudeness was assigned to the wrong person.
Taking offense in this instance is off base.

He looked straight at me, my mouth was open. I am an older lady in my 70's lost in this wooded park, there was no excuse. I have interrupted other joggers in the past and they would actually jog in place and talk to me.

I used to be interrupted all the time jogging. I just jogged in place while we talked. No big deal.
He could have said, 'Sorry, lady, can't stop,' as he jogged by.
Does feel like a hostile world sometimes, maybe for good reason.

But he doesn't know you were lost - for all he knows you were just mouthing Hello or something

I think you are being a bit unrealistic and unfair on him myself.
