So What happened to Nancy?

Where is she and how come the News Media has dropped the story?? 24/7 then nothing!!
I'll stick with what I've said from the beginning... robbery gone wrong and she caught him/them in the house. Perp had been in the house for 40 minutes before her health monitor stopped sending signals. Pretty sure they weren't having tea during that time..

I hate to be cynical, but if her name had been Nancy Jones and she was just the old lady living down the street from you, her disappearance wouldn't have had a mention on page 7 of the local rag or a mention on the 9 o'clock news.

The police would have said, "Well, she's an adult and you can't list her as 'missing' for 48 hours." After 48 hours and a lot of nagging on the part of her family, they would have filed a report and, just maybe, put a "silver alert" out.

If no news arose in the next couple of days, the whole thing would have gone on the back burner.

This was a good opportunity by the news industry to keep people reading, watching, listening. "Oooh, nooo, Savannah Guthrie's mom got kidnapped!" Details at 6....and 9.....and 12......

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm concerned about the lady. I'd be concerned about anybody, whether I knew them or not, that was missing and, at this point, 99% dead and buried/dumped somewhere. It would just be nice if everyone got the same treatment.

The fact that the family put up $1 million plus reward for her, and there has been zero interest in collecting that, tells its own story.

I believe as others have already commented that she was not alive within the first few hours of going missing

it either truly was a robbery gone wrong, or it was a kidnapping for whatever reason that had nothing to do with money.

I also doubt her disappearance will ever be solved.

I agree. I also think that the publicity may have sealed Mrs Guthrie's fate (assuming she was still alive) because, the risk of keeping her alive, collecting the ransom and returning her unharmed, would have been too great. Always assuming, of course, that Mrs Guthrie was taken from her home for the purpose of a ransom.

I've seen a few articles lately. I didn't read them. It's all b.s. clickbait and from the headlines, nothing is new. The only thing left to happen that interests me is that they find her. And hopefully arrest whoever took her. I would much prefer she be alive.

I do not know if it was famous daughter or just slow news cycle, but I wish for all involved they would find her alive or not
and not drag out every maybe clue and rehash all teh mistakes made in this whole thing.
