Soap. What's your favorite?

I make my own soap. The ingredients are household lye and distilled water, olive oil, coconut oil and palm oil. I add lavender essential oil as a scent and I don't bother adding any coloring agents anymore. I make about ten pounds at a time, poured into bath soap sized molds and it's enough to last me for several years.

I have a basket of hotel soaps that I'm using up in the shower along with an oatmeal type liquid soap. The grandkids love to pick their little soaps and shampoos from the basket to use when they're here.
DH only uses Safeguard beige.
I like getting gifts of fancy soaps and I have learned to use them instead of saving them for ??
I use Cerave on my face. I buy bulk liquid soap for the hand dispensers in kitchen and bath.

I used to get given luxury soap for gifts.. , and as I didn't use bar soap I didn't want such expensive soaps to go to waste so I would put them in my underwwear drawer.. .. but oddly despite every magazine telling us different.. they never actually made my small smell of Shea butter or verbena.. or whatever beautiful scent they were supposed to smell of.. so instead I just used them as hand washing soap..lol

Safeguard beige!! I haven't even thought of that soap in so many years. I think I liked the scent. I may look for it, for old time's sake.

That's on my list of "to do someday."

I have sensitive skin, but I like soaps with at least a little bit of scent in them and this one seems to be OK with my skin.

I've never heard of that particular soap but it reminded me of a soap that we had as kids called Knights Castille.... it was a very popular bar soap..I haven't thought of it in years. I wonder if they still sell it...
