Sobering Realization I Just Saw... Seems Impossible

Yup! My BFF and I often reminisce about how fast time has flown by since we first became friends. She's younger than me, but she took over as my music teacher at the studio after my other one said she couldn't take me any further. She was not able to teach me Jazz theory. My new teacher and I became fast friends. My son was 8 then....now he's 56! Even more mind blowing...if our class had a high school reunion this year, it would be our 60th!

Not only was 1974 fifty year ago, almost every body we know was born in 19 something. I do not feel exactly like a spring chicken, when someone says they were born in 20 something.

Saw this in my social media feed... there's that first initial "say what?" thinking the person made a typo... but it wasn't one.

"And just like that, 1974 was 50 years ago."

1974...had gotten back from Vietnam and out of the Army 2 years previously.

1974...just one year away from marrying my first future ex-wife.
