Sodium to Potassium Ratio

I've read that the idea amount of sodium (preferably pink Himalayan salt) should be 2.5 times the amount of potassium.

Is this right? Seems like a lot of sodium!

Then of course, I read that upping the amount of potassium can help keep your BP down. But then that would mean upping your sodium more. I'm confused.

A good amount of pot. is around 4700mg per day. And I've read that a good amount of sodium is
1500ms per day. So THAT ratio is about 1:3 Na to K, right?

Now I'm thinking all those articles got their numbers turned around...not 2.5 to 1 but 1 to 2.5.
Or if they said potassium to sodium, THEN 2.5:1 is correct.

From what I've read, yes, at least 4700 mg per day of potassium, and a minimum of 1500 mgs per day of sodium.

Thanks for confirming CindyLou. I thought I was going crazy, reading all those sites that said the opposite ratio. (they just need
to take a refresher course in math)
