Some clouds a few days ago

this is a picture taken over our local canal at sunset

Love the look of 'spotlights' behind the clouds, sometimes called God light. I've got one like that somewhere but this is fantastic.

Here is one more on the wispy side taken at our favorite San Francisco beach for walking the dog.

Thank you so much. Fantastic is a big word!

Hope there will be more. Clouds and storms can be so different in different places. Our storm clouds don't measure up and we also don't get the small, cotton ball clouds made famous by Peter Max. But near the ocean we get some cool moments.

Going to prime the pump in hopes of seeing more:

I really like the atmosphere of #1. Reminds me of some paintings I've seen.

Such a striking sunset last week in northern FL. I rushed to capture these pics because I'm not sure how many sunsets of this type I will see here. I'm always comparing sunset pics with those from the southwestern US, where big sky reigns. I sort of have big sky from my vantage point now.

I took these from my 10th fl senior apartment. The first 2 were with my phone. The third one was with my camera. They looked a lot better until I had to crop them. I take my pics at 4000+px. I have to reduce my photos to max 800px to upload here.

I will be so glad when I buy a new camera but I still hope to upgrade to another PS. I really don't want to bother with learning to use a DSL, though I know they take the best pics. And I wouldn't want to pay for one and not use all of its features.
