Some dog owners are irresponsible

A couple of weeks ago I was at a fenced sports ground and got chased by a large dog. Luckily I was close to a gate and was able to evade dog.
The game was about to start.
The owner saw what was going on and came to her dog.
Dog was going apebat crazy.
I said to the woman
"I suppose your dog has never done that before"?
"Sorry" she replies
Dog is still going apebat
"You do know that your dog is supposed to be on a leash"?
"Not in this park. This is a dog exercise Park" she replies
I point to the sign which stated,
Dog exercise park unless a sporting event is taking place
"Do you not read signs"?
"I will ring the Ranger and have your dog removed"
I had no intention of doing that but it had the desired effect.
She walked rapidly to her car and was gone inside 2 minutes

It's interesting though how dogs tend to look like their Karens.

Since a lot of owners aren't into picking up their dog's waste, I don't think I'd like to participate in a sporting event in what is a dog park the rest of the time. Ewww.
