Roger Daltrey, lead singer for the Who, celebrates his 80th birthday today! That's really awesome. I loved the Who so much when I was young and although I was a staunch Led Zeppelin fan, I preferred Roger's vocals. Did you like the Who too???

Happy Birthday, Roger, rock on!!! dance3

So hard to believe that Roger Daltrey is 80! In my mind, he is “forever young.” I still listen to and enjoy Tommy. Even outside of Daltrey’s vocals, The Who could be an instrumental powerhouse…

"Won't Get Fooled Again" is my Number One favorite rock song of all time; great words, great guitar, synthesizer and drums. Also, Roger Daltrey's singing (and screaming!) is an example of rock music at its best. His "Come and Get Your Love" song from his "Ride a Rock Horse" solo album is worth a listen on You Tube!

the beatles seem quite tameish against them heh?
Interesting that you said that (which is very true). Paul McCartney apparently was feeling very competitive when he heard "I Can See For Miles" and decided to create a very strong rock song that would outdo the "Who" song. His answer to that song was "Helter Skelter"
