Some intersting pictures of this old castle

You can tell it was very grand at one time. Even terribly run down, it's nicer than any retirement home I've ever been in. For a few million in renovations, you would really have something beautiful.
 
There is a retirement home near here, which is a converted 'stately home', on a golf course, in a really pretty village.
some of the ones I have been in are awful though.
i suspect the upkeep of the German one was just too high..
 
I have seen many beautiful castles in Germany & Austria.

As an ex USAF pilot flying missions in the ETO, we tried our best to stay away from those historical edifices.

After the war, we flew around looking at them. Some of them are 1,000sof years old. And beautifully constructed.

Anybody should marvel at them.

If I won the lottery that's the place i would buy. And if it were in the U.S. you could be sure there would be graffiti covering the walls, the wheelchairs would all be busted and there would have been dozens of fires set.
