Last week during one of my OCD moments, I discovered a box of corn flakes in the cupboard. I queried my wife as to their existence. "Leave them alone! I'm going to have a bowl." I have a habit of giving unsolicited lectures.
I added that Graham Crackers were also invented for health reasons.
Corn Flakes? The popular cereal was first made back in 1894 by John Harvey Kellogg. It was originally created as a healthy food for the patients of the sanitarium in which he worked, and its inception was functional: it was supposed to be healthy and deliberately bland.
I added that Graham Crackers were also invented for health reasons.
I wonder if that is why smores are a staple around scout camp fires, helps keep the boys thinking pure thoughts.Graham Crackers? Invented also in the 1800's to stop sexual urges and desires because the inventor Reverend Sylvester Graham believed that eating meat and fat led to sexual excess. ... He thought meat and fat increased lust, and was extremely anti refined white flour, instead flavoring unsifted wheat flour.
