My mother and I have toured a great deal of nursing homes and assisted living facilities in our area over the last six months in planning for the future. My latest project is something that residents or employees may enjoy participating in. Here are the details in case anyone is interested:
Be a part of something fun: Critter Absurd is an American humor magazine founded in 2022 by editor J. Mummey. The magazine highlights the joys and horrors of pets and wildlife. Our fledgling magazine is accepting submissions for our next issue. The deadline is Friday, March 4, 2022. If you are tired of the daily rants, this magazine is for you. Send us original fiction or non-fiction short stories with a bit of humor, poetry, photography, jokes, cartoons, fond memories, or quotes - all on the topic of pets or wildlife, and pet obituaries. Please include this information with each submission: the name you would like used in print with the article (i.e. “Nancy, Raleigh, NC”), and email or name/address for delivery of the issue in print or digital format. When submitting photos: include a caption if you have one in mind. We have no funds in the trough to pay writers at this time, but we hope to in the future.
