Something New You Want To Try

I have 2 pods in my home, which are Wi Fi extenders. I bought them at Best Buy, instead or renting them from Comcast. They work really well, but make sure you set them up in your computer or your router may not recognize them. I can finally sit out on my patio and use my laptop and iPad.

I want to try a cruise ship, like for two weeks, a longer vacation on the sea ;)
Highly recommend it. On one cruise we flew from London's Heathrow airport to Jamaica, there we were taxied to our cruise ship in Montego Bay. We spent ten days cruising around The Caribbean, so much to discover. The British Virgin Island of Tortola is dubbed the 51st State of The Union. It's so American, yet, despite almost every car having the steering wheel on the left, they drive on the left.

The last three days of the cruise were spent at sea as we crossed The Atlantic Ocean and docked at Southampton.

That's something I've never done...only a short cruise to the Bahamas where I got sea sick so now I'm afraid to try it again. I'd go with you if I knew I wouldn't get seasick but I doubt that could be remedied (I did take a pill for it but made me drowsy).
Darn. I'd be all in to go along otherwise.

I have never wanted to go on a cruise.

I can't even think of something new I'd like to do. Never thought I'd end up being so boring!
I did one and did enjoy it. I went by myself, which that part wasn't very interesting or enjoyable, but when you get out among the people, that all changes. When my GF was alive, she wanted to go on a cruise and I asked her if she wanted to go to Europe. She wanted to go on a short cruise first to see if she would enjoy cruising. I didn't think a short cruise would be long enough, but maybe it would have.

Well, dear friend, it might be that you'd already done so many varied and adventurous and exciting things, in times gone by, :D
Or, that you've always been a happily content person, who enjoyed the simple things. 🤩

Or, that you have just settled into what works for you! :)

What's a WiFi extender?
Other than talking via iPhone to my daughter on the other side of the state, I also need it for my house. I'm renting the upstairs out in the summer and I'm living in my apartment on the ground floor in the back of the house. My router is plugged in upstairs in the front of the house. So the WiFi Extender should assure that everyone gets good reception.

Don't feel bad, Rose. I can't think of something new I'd like to do no either. Guess I'm content with by tried & true hobbies.

You can do this šŸ¤—
You are probably thinking too far out of the box.
Lower your sights a little.

You don't have to come up with ideas of grandeur like parachuting, scuba diving, horseback riding, or hang gliding

Maybe you want to try a new restaurant, maybe want to try Raw Sushi beyond a California Roll. Maybe you want to try writing a Haiku poem, or try a new recipe, try walking a mile or a block, or memorize a favorite quote, maybe a solo picnic in the park under a shady tree and take a good book, maybe try a new hairstyle or color, learn a favorite song and sing it, or learn a new dance step.

Just tap into your inner imagination.

What's a WiFi extender?
A Range Extender, WiFi Booster or WiFi Extender is a device that repeats the wireless signal from your router to expand its coverage. It functions as a bridge, capturing the WiFi from your router and rebroadcasting it to areas where the WiFi is weak or nonexistent, improving the performance of your home WiFi. So in other words you can plug the Extender, say down the hallway and it will boot a stronger signal to a device that is further away!

If your router/hub/modem is at an inner wall upstairs, Lara,
can you not get a hole drilled to your apartment underneath,
then use an "Ethernet" cable, to contact your computer to the
system, that way the computer will have Wi-Fi, where you want
it and all you will need is a cable.

Mike.

I want to try and learn all I can about finances so if something happens to my husband I am not clueless and vunerable.
I was thinking about how much I have learned about health and nutrition by doing research for years.
Now it's time to deep dive into finance. It's harder because I don't have much interest but I may find that I do have an interest!

Thank you @kburra that was a much better explanation than mine and I understand it better too now.

Thank you @Mike but with this WiFi Extender I don't have to drill a hole in the wall. I haven't done it yet but it says all I have to do is plug it into a socket closer to the apartment (or in the apartment?) and then scan the code with my iPhone and follow instructions to connect to all my devices. I've purchased it but haven't connected it yet.
