Traditional New Year's Day food in my corner of the world is Pork & Sauerkraut.
I will be making it as I do every year.

Always kraut, but it will be made differently depending on what the main will be ... pork & German sausages or with cabbage rolls. Mashed potatoes to go with all of it.

That was a habit I picked up when we travelled in the southwestern US. I‘ll serve them with cornbread and coleslaw as the green vegetable.
