Something Weird or Unique

We are all unique , some a little more than others. What weird thing defines you from others.

I wake every morning with a song in my head. Sometimes an old song, sometimes new. Sometimes I remember the song all day, others I forget. Some songs I do not recognize and I have looked them up online to find they were songs from back when I was very young.
The really weird thing about this, My real name is Melody. Guess my parents called this on right.:love_heart:

Cute that your name is Melody, that does fit right in! ;) I can't think of anything too weird now, I took sometimes have tunes going through my head all day, sometimes just a commercial jingle. :p

I've never liked wearing hats, gloves or sunglasses. Only did when absolutely necessary, like gloves for frigid cold, or doing prickly work in the yard. Hats too, only during winter snows and cold, and they come off the minute I can remove them. Just started wearing sunglasses now that I'm older, I don't want to lose any more eyesight than necessary in my golden years. Went snowblind once or twice, doing stuff outside with the snow reflectng the sunlight...not too smart, older and wiser now.

I am almost totally ambidextrous.

I comfortably write with both hands, run power tools with either hand but I tend to be right-handed with guns and bows.

Being ambidextrous moved me right up to the front of the line, years ago, when I applied for a job with General Motors wiring division and got it.

I feel ya SeaBreeze, I love scarves, they always look so good, but cannot stand wearing one, they drive me crazy!

Oh, TWRider, that would be awesome !

That's an excellent natural-born talent to have TWHRider! It must have helped your body also, as you didn't always have to lean one way to do things, or lift heavy objects with one hand, etc. I'm right handed and that's it, can barely hold the pen normally in my left, never mind write anything legible. Running power tools would be a big plus too!

I have dreams that are very detailed, and in vivid high definition colors, not too many people I know have that. Also, can many times remember each detail the next day, good for nice dreams, bad for nightmares. :daz:

I'm extra sensitive and emotional, and can get teary-eyed with sad things or happy things. I can sympathize with someone for their loss or hardship, or I can shed a tear of joy for a game show winner...crazy. Been that way all my life, I remember as a pre-school child, getting teary watching that old show 'Queen for a Day'. I can show uncontrolled emotion for a cute baby or puppy, or a car accident on the highway. It's not a bad thing, but can just be inconvenient at times. My horoscope sign (Pisces)also shows that I'm sensitive, so that may be part of it. :p

I can't grow anything :( Have tried planting seedlings, which died. Had plants of every description, from small to large .. ficus benjamina, umbrella plants, Norfolk Island Pine .. they all died. For awhile, had silk plants - not the same. Mom could grow all manner of flowering indoor plants, all the siblings have gardens and indoor plants, even orchids. "We" have a balcony garden in summer, and grow tomatoes, peppers, herbs, etc. I merely pick what I need to use, and leave the watering to someone else.

My sense of smell might be up there with my pups. I pick up a whiff of anything and can identify it when no one else smells a thing. On the bad side that put me in charge of finding Levon's "gifts" in the yard...step, step, step...yup found it, fresh shrew.

My family says I have bionic ears. I can hear conversation way off in the distance, and literally hear a pin drop. This is something that unfortunately is problematic, as I have trouble falling asleep at night, with upstairs neighbours who keep odd hours and ambulances on a main street nearby. I find that turning the thermostat fan on High helps buffer those sounds at night.

fur, I also am cursed with a keen sense of smell .. :(

Sometimes I pick up stuff about other people's health, physical or emotional, without being told anything at all. Disconcerting.

You posted also that you have a keen sense of smell, which made me remember how I am able to "smell" chemo patients. The first time I noticed this was when my late Mother was undergoing treatment. One of my Labradors used to be able to smell chemo patients too, but I've read that this is not unusual in dogs.

fur, honest - it can be more of a curse than a blessing at times.
