I'm certain that I'll never be 25 years old again and I'm also certain that I won't have a long lost rich relative leave me a zillion dollars in his will.
Hollydolly,I never felt comfortable behind the wheel, took the road test 3 times back in the 70's.I unfortunately had the same tester twice,he was a real S.O.B.The last time I took it, he failed me because he told me 'you never used the blinkers' which was a bunch of B.S. I was so upset,I just never bothered to try again.
I do have a non-driver's license which I use as my ID at airport/bank etc. My late father used to say'its all defensive driving',he died in '96 before cellphones&idiotic drivers texting/talking on the phone became the norm. Sue
Oh what a shame you had a bad experience with your tester all those years ago which shattered your confidence .
Your dad was right it definitely is all defensive driving, particularly these days when you don't know who is on drugs or been drinking, or using a cell phone or even watching tv in some case ( oh yes)... etc... certainly in the cities and large towns driving is no longer the pleasure it used to be..
