Spam friend in emails now coming

I just got an email Hi do you remember me, I am Susan Nelson?

but the email addy on it was viktoria(russian name), not even close to being Susan Nelson

Chucked it as spam and block..... so watch out for those now if you haven't seen one yet

I've gotten these... I guess they think I'm so scatterbrained that I don't remember friends names. There's also a group of scammers who have been trying to sell me products to "enhance" something I don't have as a girl.

Someone had the name of my landlord at the housing authority apt building I was living in years ago. They emailed me pics and I thought it was her so I opened them. Got a virus. She (haha) still emails me. LOL! *edit...also from like a whole bunch of different email addresses.

I am also getting emails from myself from spam addresses.

It's funny you posted this today. My BFF told me again this morning after several months of not having the following problem:
She's gotten emails that seem to come from her niece, but they are spam emails. BFF is not sure if her account has been hacked or her nieces.
Then yesterday she got an email from the niece's imposter containing an attachment with one of BFF's friend's emails from last month! I have no idea how that happened but told her to see if she can block that sender.

Always check the return address. But now, even that can fail you, so never give any personal information, even if the return address looks legitimate.
