I disagree and I am probably an atheist. I raised my son in no church or temple but made sure he knew what everybody else was referring to, or else he'd be ignorant and I couldn't stand that idea! Also, IMO, the bible is the greatest literary work in Western culture, whether one thinks it is fiction or non.
Oh, I think this topic is for another thread. I can debate religion and the Bible for hours. Don't get me started! LOL
Meh. No one is stopping them from doing so, but it's not appropriate in a public forum whose members have differing beliefs...or "non-belief."
Aw, then let them grow up! Tired of dealing with such sensitivities and taking umbrage just for the sake of it.

I disagree. Need is a personal concept, and if the quote met the posters need, its not your right to negate that. The original post wasn't about censoring, but you had no problem going there, did you?

I love your truth Lara! I won't join the bandwagon in beating up Prince Harry because I believe there is at least some truth in what he has to say and it's been eating at him. I don't doubt that they were faced with racism, however subliminal. We Black folks recognize subliminal even when others who don't have to face it do not. Lady Susan Hussey, the Queen's lady in waiting who was considered a "pivotal figurel" in the royal family stepped down due to racist remarks that were brought to light. Perhaps she wasn't the only one with a certain mindset. I don't see people brow beating Harry's father...who cheated openly on his mother. They want to hold him in the highest esteem. Oh and some (even on here) have made excuses for him. Why because he's so "royal". SMDH!! And that consort...well...don't get me started on her!
Anyway Lara...you posted what you did with an air of positivity and expressed yourself beautifully, so I don't want to tarnish that. That people are so ready to overlook the good that Harry was doing and is now doing with his wife, because he doesn't subscribe to fitting in the mold "they" think he should fit in is sad to me. He'll never be king. Ever. Another thing, I'm not a fan of airing dirty laundry and perhaps he/they should have gone about things differently, but if he really feels his wife was disrespected in any way he'd be less than a man not to stand up for her. And if someone disrespected me...I wouldn't be so kind as not to call them out for it just because of who they are.
