Do use a Speed Dial Extension on your browser,I have used one for years, and when I click my Browser icon the Speed Dial opens(See pic) and to open one or several sites, I just click with the Middle wheel on the mouse, and can as many as I want on the toolbar, which allows me to go from one to other, without going to the bookmark menus(So much faster)I go to at least 10 different sites daily.

That looks interesting, kburra, I assume these sites are the
ones that you use mostly, do you have to place them there,
or do they go automatically?

I just call up any site, as and when I want to go there, each one
gets a tab on the toolbar.

When on a website, just right-click."Add to Speed Dial" and is automatic, if want when open Speed Dial can just drag them where you want, the ones I use most are on the top rows. You can also manage the number of Rows and Columns to how you like it,the link below will explaine it better than me. I use it on Chrome Browser.
FVD Speed Dial - Simple access to your most visited sites. Organize Your Bookmarks!

Had been using Manjaro's Cinnamon Opera 'Speed Dial' for a while now. Went back to Firefox's 'Sidebar' less confusing. I guess it's all in what you like. Opera's VPN was causing havoc with my streaming services.

Plus with Linux, you can have as many as 16 virtual desktops. I normally use only 5, I guess I'm getting older & set in my ways.

I used Speed Dial for years but now have Vivaldi Browser which has its own speed dial built in.
I can put any icon on the dial to identify so can spot what I want quickly
So easy to find the page you want..

Many consider speed dial malware.
Theoretically you can get malware/hacked through videos, pictures, links,,,etc. Nothing is safe according to someone's opinion or post. You just have to be careful anytime you're online, reading emails or using your phone. I check my financial accounts daily, never click on an embedded link, open anything on a whim without some caution & use whatever I can to block them. I try to be aware of the dangers all the time. Trust no one & try to remember I'll pay the consequences if I'm wrong.

That being said I admit that I must have a weak moment & enter personal information to get a quote for cheaper auto insurance. I must be getting lonely & need more emails from the insurance industry. I do that about every 3-4 months, then waste time unsubscribing to their responses.

Adding a program to your computer that is a security and privacy risk is never a good idea. I have worked in IT for over 30 years and removed countless browser hijackers, trojans and other malware. All with the potential to not only infect your computer and steal private information but also cause errors, performance issues and other computer problems.
