From 16 to 18, I collected my share and someone else's

One, I was rather proud of
Made to appear in court
Sat thru about a dozen appeals
Lame excuses
The judge developed a bad mood
Then, my turn
'Guilty as sin yer honor'
He cut me some slack

Last speeding ticket I got was back in '99
from some sorta camera
Got it in the mail
Picture of me
The letter contained a question
'Is this you?'

I thought about saying no

but.....



Went to city hall clerks office
She cut me some slack
Had to only pay half

One of my favorites:
Officer to driver: "Your eyes are red. Have you been drinking?"
Driver: "Your eyes are glazed. Have you been eating doughnuts?"

Far from perfect, Amber. LOL!

I did a rolling stop at a stop sign once and was nabbed, no ticket, just reminded that stops signs are placed in locations to get drivers to stop.

Another time I was pulled over for a burned out tail light. Got a fix-it ticket.

Did have a policeman raise his hand in his vehicle one time and using his thumb as a signal, he pointed his thumb downward and made a few up and down gestures with it. I gather he was relaying to me to slow down, which I did.

I can honestly say that for a long time after that roll I did, I watched all my stops intently.
