Spotify

Briefly, I lost power today, and when it came back, the clock on my computer had not adjusted to the correct time. So, I pulled up clock, clicked on it, and something called focused session came up. Evidently, it is related to Spotify.

Now, I neither have nor want Spotify, as it does not interest me at all. I attempted this at least 3 times with the same results. Very frustrating.

I finally got into the computer settings itself, went to time, and clicked on restore to utc Eastern Standard Time. It reset immediately.

Odd this, as when this occurred in the past, all I had to do was adjust the clock.

Has anyone else run into this anomaly?

No. I don't understand why the clock needs resetting, either. The battery on your computer should have taken care of a momentary power outage. Very strange.

Apparently it's to do with Windows and is accessible through the clock app.

A focus session is supposed to help people "focus" on a task for a set period of time. For those who want music playing, there is an option to use Spotify.

I wouldn't worry about it. I have Facebook and Netflix apps that I can't delete, even though I don't use either. Just part of modern life.

I don’t want Spotify but it wants my money. On the rare occasion I listen to something for free, including their ads, they then swamp me with offers for the low, low price of $9.95 each for three months. Can’t imagine what the regular price would be.

Thank you NorthernLight, I see it is something that is new with Windows 11.
