Spring forward

Thanks for reminding me Ken. I wish they would stop the whole thing. Every year they talk about it but it never happens. A few years back New Jersey tried it but for some reason they went back to it again. I think it is so out dated. I read somewhere it had to do with more daylight for the farmers to work. Not sure if that is true or not.

Ditto, I have heard the same thing..

Thanks Ken, I noticed that on my wall calendar last week. I don't mind the clock changes, it comes with the seasons in my mind and I'm usually ready for the change in darkness outside.

I'm in Arizona, and we don't change our clocks. AZ and Hawaii are the only two states that have opted out.

The rest of you just need to remember to fall forward and spring back! :)

The ''day light for farmers,'' is out dated as new equipment has lighting that allows farmers to work 24 hours a day if necessary. I wonder why they still enforse it, there surely is a reason.

Now that I've retired, the sun revolves around me and I don't much care what the clocks say. Back when I was working it was a different story ... the later the sun set, the better.

I read that New Hampshire is looking at staying on DST permanently.

The 2 reasons why I like the time change are:
1.when I take my early morning walks,I'm able to see if the sidewalks are clear and dry
2.not having to turn on the lights until around 9pm

We gain an hour Cee....reason for more daylight in the summer :)

Spring forward, fall back” is one of the little sayings used to remember which way to set your watch. You set your clock forward one hour in the spring when DST starts (= lose 1 hour), and back one hour when DST ends in the fall (= regain 1 hour).

If DST is all I have to worry about, then life is golden. I care little and since being retired it makes no difference whatsoever. My days are not so structured that the time change sends me into a tailspin.
