Spring - Time to Redecorate

Think before you redecorate.

The use of specific colors in decorating can really define the mood and purpose of a room.

Below are some colors and how they influence a room:

• Red - Increases circulation and muscular activity
• Orange - Signifies optimism and enthusiasm
• Yellow - Represents creativity and joy
• Green - Symbolizes balance and nature
• Blue - Represents inspiration and truth
• Violet - Suggests humility and spirituality
• White - Signifies purity and innocence
• Black - Suggests strength and restore energy

So, think before you choose the door scheme...it could change the entire mood
of the finished room.

Have you had any redecorating disasters...or complete success?🤗

Not doing any Spring redecorating, but I love this time of year to find, clean, and repurpose things that have been stashed away.

Colors do set the mood of a room.
Colorwise .. I love soft, light colors in general.. my bedroom is mostly white on white through-out.

And I have an outdoor patio that is every shade of green, from lime green to dark green.
I want it to look like the "outdoors" I miss from my old home/backyard .... and it gives the illusion of 'cool' in hot weather. (y)

I am not sure if / how these colors are perceived by others....... but I am done chasing a mood with colors etc...
think it is nonsense ....
they do this type of stuff with wardrobes too .... wear this color or that one for interviews or dates etc ... never saw the point never saw a reaction

Time to re-paint..re-pair...fix...re-place.

What do you plan to do this Spring..in that⬆️regard?

My apartment came with green carpeting, so I'm stuck with it. I bought some bright tomato red chairs, which I liked. So cheerful!

But they clashed badly with the carpet, and I gave them away immediately.

Now, almost all my furniture, etc., is black or charcoal. A bit of off-white. Works for me.

I've already spent a tremendous amount of money in the last two years on replacing things. I've had a new well and pump installed. I also bought a new water heater, an oil burner, and a new roof, soffits, and gutters. In a couple of weeks, I'm having a huge tree in my backyard cut down. Thankfully, I don't need to redecorate. I like my home as it is. Eventually, I'll have the interior repainted, but with all the other expenses, I'm going to wait on that.

My place is so small you can see almost every room from the entrance.
I once tried different colors on walls and it looked too cluttered.
I ended up with a soft yellow on all walls and white in the open kitchen.
It is serene, joyful, clean looking and soft. It's peaceful, perfect for creating.
Oh Yes! I believe color has a great influence on mood.
