Well, where do I start w/o making this intro a Novel........LOL!

Just turned 65 and now have a Medicare card. Took SS "early retirement" due to extremely hard time finding another job. Been married to my GREAT wife for 13 years. She is a "Baby Boomer" as well and a year older than me. Neither of us smoke, but do enjoy a Bud Light and a stiff margarita once in a while. She still works a full-time job, but I keep pretty busy doing laundry, cleaning apartment, cooking and running errands. Send some time on the old computer as well. Type pretty fast for an old man (LOL) at 70 wpm. Started using a computer back in 1989 while working as an Electronics Stockroom Supervisor. Anyway, to look at me, you'd probably never guess than I'm 65........thanks to Just For Men Hair Color (mustache/temples). No gray! I very humorous and my wife loves it. "Never a dull moment in our home" she tells anyone. That is, unless I'm sick, of course. I add a little sarcasm into my humor and, unlike some folks we know in our age bracket, she loves it.

Wife and I been married twice before. We were very luck, both of us were 100% "marriage minded" when we met. Love it! Anyway, when we met, I was big into Pro Rodeo (roper) and she loved it. I could also do a mean 2-Step and Texas Swing. Her niece told her one night, "He's definitely a Keeper" after seeing me dance with her Aunt (my wife). My wife loves watching NFL, PGA and any man has to love it when his wife knows as much about NFL as my wife does!

I use to play drums (some) and love Classic Rock. Give me some Boston, Heart, Deep Purple, BTO, Chicago, Earth, Wind and Fire, Kool and the Gang, Foreigner, AC/DC, Steppenwolf, Santana, Joan Jett, just to name a few, and I'm fine. Love Country as well, but the older Country: Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, Forester Sisters, Alan Jackson, Shania Twain, etc. Groups like, Paul Revere & The Raiders, The Association, The Safaris plus some others. I got my wife into the Classic Rock scene and she got me into Motown. Just grew up just outside of there.

Read my Profile and learn more about me.

So, here I am and, it's PARTY TIME!! Just had to say that.

Hello ClassicRockr, You and your wife sound like hoot! :welcome: Come join in on the any subject or issue. We love different opinions. I see your from Florida, there are several Floridians on this forum. I'm Ina from Texas. :hatoff:

Well, I sure hope I won't scared anybody who views my Into! Wife and I aren't the average mid-60's couple, that is, from what we've seen of other mid-60's couples we know/been around. We can be "serious minded", but that doesn't happen very much.......gotta LOL over that! Yes, it might seem very odd to hear a 65 year old man say "party time", but that's just me. Actually, I think wife and I are having a later Mid-Life thing. Some folks our age, and older, would probably tell us to "grow up". It wasn't just my cooking that my wife loved when we met, it was my humor as well. Gotta say, "I love it"!!

70 WPM?!? Yeeeeeeeeeee-haaawwwww! Color me green with envy! :frog:

Nice picks on the music as well - nothing like classic rock.

And see? Another Floridian - yet another sign that I'm supposed to move there.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Ok, been here since Jan '09, but when wife retires, 3 1/2 yrs from now, we are moving! Looking at somewhere around Vegas. Found out that Florida isn't necessarily the Senior Retirement spot anymore. This summer's humidity is somewhat a KILLER and will only get worse as we get older.

Oh, I forgot to say.......if we were able to go back to the old Rin Tin Tin and Lassie days, we'd have our iPhones and laptop with us! We are somewhat of a "techy" couple! I installed Windows 7 into our computers, we installed more Memory and a CD/DVD Player-Recorder into our desktop. After each move we made, since being married, I've hooked up the computer and printer. Every Monday AM, I run anti-virus scan and defrag. A few years ago, I transferred all the VHS video tapes (our vacations) onto DVD's. I hooked up my wife's mom's old VHS Player to our DVD Player/Recorder and done the transfers.

For all of you that look at this latest Intro post, that picture of Darth Vader (Avatar) is me in our apartment last year/Halloween. Will be in the same costume this year, as well as my wife will be Princess Leia again. Went to a Public Halloween Party last year and was shocked at how many people wanted their picture taken with me. Vader was a villain of the Dark Side in the Star Wars movies, but he definitely gets the ATTENTION at parties. I love it. BTW, the box on my chest actually lights up w/sound: Vader's breathing, quotes from Vader (voice of Earl Thomas Jones) in the first Star Wars movie (A New Hope). Bought that on e-bay. Am also wearing a full-size helmet, not just a mask, Vader gloves and Vader boots. Yes, wife and I went all the way with my costume! She looks great as Leia, as well.

Hi There! Yes, I'M BACK! Probably didn't notice that I was gone, but that's ok. Going to keep my "debating" nature to a minimum this time around.......sort of a New Year's Resolution I made for myself, w/some assistance from my DW who isn't a "debating" type person that much.
