Squash

I got a call from a friend yesterday afternoon saying someone had given her meat and veggies from their farm. I passed on the meat (on a private farm, who knows under what conditions it was slaughtered and prepared), but I said I'd be interested in the squash. She brought me one each of acorn, spaghetti and butternut. I prepared the spaghetti last night. It almost looks like sauerkraut in the bowl.

No it does not. It looks like spaghetti squash.

I've not seen spaghetti squash prepared like that. It's usually cut in half lengthwise and baked, so when it's done, it can be flaked into spaghetti strings.

Works either way. Cutting it cross-wise make longer strings.
